Adhesives Formulated With Built-in Cure Indicator
The DYMAX MD "1200" series adhesives are ideal forrapid bonding of a wide variety of substrates found in reservoirs, plastic housings,respiratory devices, needles, syringes, tube sets, fittings, and other medical devices.These adhesives are formulated with DYMAX’s exclusive See-Cure technology. Theyare bright blue in color in their uncured state, making them easy to see on thesurface of substrates, in deep wells, or when sandwiched between two layers ofmaterials. The blue color allows automated vision systems to confirm adhesive placementprior to curing, resulting in greater efficiency and less scrap.
During the light-curing process, the blue color transitionsto clear, indicating that full cure has been achieved. This visualcure-indicator may be used to qualify the process and then to ensure that theprocess remains within established control parameters.
The “1200” series adhesives are solvent free and cure inseconds when exposed to high-intensity UV/Visible light, enabling fasterprocessing, greater output, and lower assembly costs. They are ISO 10993approved and are compatible with gamma, EtO, and E-Beam sterilization.
